SFF-2 is an appliance and fixture wire considered a high temperature lead wire. It is also referred to as SRML cable. SRML stands for Silicone rubber motor lead. It is rated for 600 volts, and 150 degrees Centigrade. It is UL and CSA listed and also carries a SEWF-2 rating in 12 through 6 gauge. SFF-2 cables are constructed of stranded tinned copper, have silicone rubber insulation, and a glass braid with a moisture and heat resistant finish. These cables are available from 18 to 6 gauge in a wide variety of colors. It’s important to note that SFF-2 has a 150° C rating, whereas the SF-2 has a 200° C rating.
