P n Junction Diode
A pn junction is known as semiconductor diode. A pn junction is said to be formed only when a bonding force is created between the P-type and N-type semiconductor. The outstanding property of a semiconductor diode is to conduct current in one direction i.e. when forward biased, and no current is flow through the diode when reverse biased. Due to this property the diode is used as a rectifier in the electronic circuits.
