Before you start caulking, remove the old sealant and make the surface dust- and grease free and let it dry. If needed you can use a hairdryer. For the perfect result, use masking tape at both sides of the caulking line. Apply the sealant making shure there are no air bubbles. An elastic sealant can caulk a joint with a maximum width of 35 millimeters. Smooth the sealant with a finger that has been dipped in a solution of water and soap. Remove the tape immediately.
