How to Make a Silicone Mask (pt. 5)

In this video, I show you a finished goblin mask casting from a flex pro 70-20 flexible urethane mold. The idea in these casts is to “get the process right” before I use the full amount of silicone to create a full head mask.

I’m seeing a lot of problems with my original sculpt that translates to wearability issues in the final casted masks.

For this casting, I used Dragon skin by Smooth-On for the initial pour–when that gelled and stoppped moving, I mixed up some ecoflex 30. Both products are fairly old. I bought them about two years ago, and their shelf life sometimes makes them slower to cure.

These are experiments. I will try and make a full head cast next week, and will post a video of the results.
