How to get rid of cockroaches

These highly reproductive roaches are resistant to many pesticides.
Knowing which products to use is important. Doing ones’ own research (field trials)
is very important to determine effectiveness. A product that is indispensable
is not an insecticide, but a growth regulator. I often refer to them as smart bombs
for pest control. They are very low in mammalian toxicity and target the early
stages of the roaches life. Growth regulators mimic insect growth hormones
and interrupt the molting process. This takes away that high reproductive
attribute. Growth regulator are mixed with appropriate insecticides for that “one two punch!” Roaches can live without food for about 30 days, but only 7 days without water. A clean dry environment is a key component to eliminating
these pests. Before going to bed, make sure there is nothing in your kitchen sink.
This includes drops of water and that sponge. Wipe the sink dry and seal the sponge in a zip bag. Greatly reducing access to water will make them that much
more attracted to a gel bait. Changing products (sprays and baits) reduces the incidence of resistance. Inspect you groceries, roaches are hitchhikers!
Discard boxes and bags as soon as you remove your items.
