I spent the day in St. Petersburg Florida for the Firestone Grand Prix. The weather was perfect and I got to see some great racing in the Indy Car Series. This was my first Indy Car race so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really enjoyed it and got my car fix for the weekend. There was only one crash at the beginning of the race, which resulted in a single caution flag during the whole time.
My favorite part of the day was the Pirelli World Challenge race with the GT/GTS/GTA Cup Races. I loved being able to see the different manufacturers representing well including Audi with 2 R8s. Mercedes brought a couple AMG GTS, Acura has their NSX, Bentley was representing and also saw a few Ferraris out on the track. It’s pretty cool being able to hear the different engine notes from the different size engines. You can hear all of them in this video.
Been a great week in Florida. Back to the daily grind in a few days.
