  • Saturday afternoon we continued the work on my tiny house flooring. In the afternoon and evening hours we turned over the two floor halves, caulked the seams and laid in the insulation.

A friend from church showed up just in time to help Chris and I turn over the two floor halves. Then I ran a bead of caulk all the way around each seam from the top side. This may be overkill but I want to make sure no insects ever get into my tiny house.

I used a plastic bag wrapped around my finger to press the bead of caulk into place and seat it firmly all the way around.

Chris came along behind me with the insulation and put it into place between the floor joists. It fit perfectly with no gaps and no waste.

It was getting late in the night when Chris and I put on the plywood floor boards to get them off the ground and also to cover up the new tiny house flooring.

Then we put a tarp over the whole thing to protect it from rain.

It was a good day of work at the off grid homestead.

This video show the 2nd step of Hot Asphalt waterproofing system. After the priming (look at the black surface) is the installation of membrane using Asphalt Compound that are boiled till become liquid and poured to the surface while the membranes are pressed on it’s top. The final layer will be another layer of the Asphalt compound on the top of the membrane, giving you a double protection. For more information kindly check our website at www.rangaloclp.com
