Description

SV-666 neutral silicone sealant is a neutral curing glue single component, the modulus of the. It is specially designed for windows and doors caulking sealing general plastic doors and windows. It has good adhesion to glass and aluminum alloy, and has no corrosion.

It is fit for multiple purpose sealing and bonding applications to form a silicone rubber adhering to adjacent substrates e.g. glass, ceramic, tile, wood and metal.

Aquaseal Map Seal seems to have a monopoly on the market. I can’t figure out why, I would think everyone would want to take care of those expensive maps. Perhaps people have so much money they can use their maps as toilet paper. This product infuses the paper with a polymer resin thus making the paper water resistant and stronger at the same time. Your map should last twice as long using map seal. It is a absolute necessity if you are going to be using your maps for off trail backpacking or survival situations, this is one of the tools that you do not want to fail, even though you may have two sets of maps you will want them to last as long as possible. This does not negate the use of a protective map bag or transparent case however it will protect your map from those accidental spills and sudden rainstorms that can ruin most paper before you notice it and get it into a protected area. I’ll put it this way I use it.

NOTE: Make sure you have your PPE (personal protective equipment on) before you start handling the concrete mix. Portland cement is very basic (opposite of acidic), and has crystalline silica dust (which is really bad for your lungs). If you get cement on your hands and leave it there it can cause minor chemical burns and draws out moisture from your skin. If you do get cement on your hands, no worries. Wash with water, then pour common white vinegar over the area to neutralize any alkalinity, then wash with water again.
