This video will show the technique for applying two very similar air dry products to your reborn doll to reduce and/or eliminate shine.
****UPDATE TO THE VIDEO****
I have found it best to apply TWO coats of the air dry matte products to the doll kit after painting. Both layers are best done using the pouncing method and wedges. I did experiment applying the sealer with a brush and allowing that to dry on it’s own but the pouncing method is over all better, in my opinion, to reduce sheen and shine.
The two products are FolkArt Glass and Tile Medium and Plaid FolkArt Matte Sealer. These two products are very similar and are applied using the same technique.
In the video, I forgot to state that the FolkArt Glass and Tile Medium can be applied before and/or after your doll is painted with air dry paints and the Plaid FolkArt Matte Sealer is to be applied after your doll kit is painted.
Either of these products can be used over the top of a Genesis painted doll kit, but I would advise against either of them under Genesis paints.
I also failed to mention that your painted kit should cure for at least 48 hours before you attempt to coat it with either product. If the paint is not cured, both products will remove the uncured paint.
