    Ceramic InsulCoat Roof was applied to the asphalt shingle roof system of this Single-Family Home in March 2016.

    Hugo Mora of Mocard Group discusses the methods he used to collect data and the subsequent results achieved that demonstrate the ability of Ceramic InsulCoat Roof to reduce heat load on the asphalt shingle roof system of this House. That, in turn, reduced the attic temperature. Which, of course will save energy and reduce utility bills for the Homeowners.

    The Attic temperature of this house dropped from 90° to 75° Fahrenheit, before and after the application of Ceramic InsulCoat Roof. The exterior Ambient Air Temperature for the days on which Hugo collected data was consistent at 68° Fahrenheit at 12:00 Noon each day.

    That equates to a 16.7% reduction on the heat load being transferred from the the roof system into the attic.

    Reduced heat load equates to reduced energy required to cool (or heat) a building. The result is lower utility costs. That’s amazing!
