Description

SV – 9300 Fire resistant silicone sealant is a one-component, neutral-curing silicone sealant exhibiting superior performance in applications where sealing openings in walls and floors are needed to control the spread of fire, smoke, toxic gasses, and water during fire conditions.

Where to use

It is an ideal material designed for use in fire-stop systems for through penetrations and joints. This product excels in applications where greater water resistance is required e.g. curtain wall, building facade, expansion/pipe and cable joints.

This is how I replaced my old flotation foam into my boat hull. Flotation foam helps a boat stay afloat if you become swamped. Old flotation can become waterlogged and unsafe. This is what I did .
After screwing the new marine ply floor with stainless steel screws then drilling some pouring holes with a hole saw for each compartment my old De havilland 18 foot aluminium half cabin boat was ready for some new foaming polyurethane flotation.
Be careful with this stuff , have good ventilation , wear gloves , have something shielding your eyes and be focused on working safely. Foaming resin expands 30 times its volume so keep this in mind as too much can blow a hole in your boat if you use too much.
