The weather has been freezing the past couple weeks, but it finally warmed up a little. Took the opportunity to get out there and hand wash the car for the first time since I took delivery of it. Used the two bucket method and grit guards to minimize marring and swirl marks. It’s also a good idea to use separate wash mitts for your paint and wheels. Mr. Pink car soap from Chemical Guys always seems to work well for hand washing. Every time I use it, the cars comes out nice and shiny. The Opticoat Pro Plus ceramic coating also helps out a lot with shininess and easy cleanup.

For all you S3 owners that are wondering how you can flip up your windshield wipers for cleaning or ice buildup without banging the paint on your hood, I’ve included a tip for that as well. Really easy to do.
