  • All heater mats are manufactured to conform to the EEC Low Voltage and EMC Directives and are CE marked accordingly. UL approval available.

    The etched foil element type is created by acid etching a circuit in resistance alloy foil. This process ensures excellent circuit pattern repeatability and allows the design of complex heat distribution patterns within the heater area.

    Etched foil elements are able to operate at very high watt densities, this is due to the large surface area covered by the foil track. The flat foil track also gives excellent uniformity and faster heat transfer resulting in longer heater life in high power applications.

    Etched foil heaters are available in three types of insulation;

    Silicone Rubber:
    Has superb electrical insulating properties and a high temperature tolerance. The maximum continuous operating temperature is 200°C with short-term excursions to 230° C.

    Kapton:
    Polyamide is a thin lightweight organic polymer film that provides excellent tensile strength, tear resistance and dimensional stability. Ideal for applications requiring low outgassing or resistance to radiation, chemicals and solvents. Operating temperature range up to +260° C

    Polyester:
    Low cost alternative to silicone rubber and kapton. Polyester is suitable for low temperature applications up to 120° C.

    The heaters for small batch runs can be produced as wire wound heaters but for larger production batches we would look to supply etch foil types.

    Wire wound heaters are available from one off to larger batch quantities with almost no limit to design variations to satisfy customer specification.     Silicone rubber because of its high temperature tolerance and superb electrical insulating properties is well suited to the production of heater mats. Heater mats are produced by laminating the evenly spaced resistance wires between two sheets of silicone rubber, reinforced with a glass textile to give improved mechanical strength.

    These surface heaters are suitable for applications where precise heating is required. Fine resistance wires accurately and precisely positioned over areas of almost any shape or size. The close even spacing of the wires ensure a uniform heat distribution over the entire working area. The maximum continuous operating temperature for a silicone rubber heater mat is 200°C, allowing for a generous safety margin for short term over-temperature excursions as high as 230°C. Being thin and light weight, silicone rubber heater mats have a low thermal mass and therefore have rapid heat up characteristics and a fast response to temperature control.

    Heater mats can be manufactured in almost any size and shape to suit the application, including holes and cut outs without disturbing the even distribution of heat. Also available is a range of in-built temperature limiters or temperature sensors to suit customer’s instrumentation.

    Surface heaters can be supplied with an acrylic self-adhesive backing to allow for easy positioning and assembly. A separate silicone adhesive system is available if required. These heaters can also be manufactured with eyelets, straps, hooks or Velcro as further options for fixing. As for heaters which are not for static applications we can supply a more rugged silicone material to allow for repeated handling which will give a longer life.

    As an addition to our wire wound heaters we provide etched foil heaters to meet the demands of the OEM market. This enables us to offer flexible heaters in polyamide and Polyester insulation. Available in higher power densities with an exceptionally uniform heat output. Custom designs to suit any requirement.

    If you see a mouse in your house, don’t kid yourself—his entire extended family has moved in with him. Reclaim your home, once and for all.

    Step 1: Set traps
    Set traps in areas where you’ve seen mice. Put a dab of peanut butter or a bit of chocolate on each. And don’t be stingy—put out a lot of traps.

    Tip
    Snap traps and glue boards work equally well, but snap traps are more humane because death is instant.

    Step 2: Don’t cook
    Eat out or order takeout for a few days so you can stick a few in the stove and under the burners, where mice like to nest.

    Warning
    Don’t set traps near any pilot lights!

    Step 3: Repeat
    After you’ve caught some mice with your traps, rearrange the furniture a bit and put out traps in some new patterns. Always wash your hands with hot water and soap after disposing of a mouse.

    Step 4: Inspect rooms
    Go from room to room looking for holes in the walls, floors, and baseboards. Mice can squeeze through holes as small as dimes.

    Step 5: Patch
    Patch up the holes by stuffing them with steel wool—which mice won’t chew through—and then sealing them with caulking compound.

    Step 6: Examine doors
    Examine doors that lead outside; they should have a ‘sweep’ at the bottom that prevents mice from running in. If they don’t, install them.

    Tip
    If you can fit a pencil under a door or in a hole, a mouse could crawl through it.

    Step 7: Scatter moth balls
    Scatter moth balls in front of your front door and garage door. They’re a great mouse repellant. But don’t put them indoors—they’re highly toxic.

    Step 8: Check for rotting walls
    Still not gone? Have a handyman pull out your sink; the moisture often leads to rotting walls. If that’s the case, have 24-gauge galvanized steel installed where needed.

    Step 9: Prevent future infestations
    Prevent future infestations by storing food in strong, lidded containers (especially pet food and bird seed), using covered garbage cans, and taking the trash out promptly.
