I use ElmersE1323All Purpose glue for paper cones and Elmers E430 Craft Glue for plastic or other cones made of non-porous materials.
- Do you have to cut the center dome and shim the coil?
No, it’s optional but centering the coil so that it does not rub is important. CW and some other high-end brands have rather tight tolerances so shimming these brands is a good idea. New domes are cheap and can usually be ordered with the foam kit.
