The Smart Toe II memometal intermeduallary implant system was designed to treat hammertoe deformity of the PIP and DIP joint. The Smart Toe II implant offers controlled positioning, rotational stability and dynamic compression across the joint. PIP sizes include 15 millimeter to 22 millimeter in both neutral and 10 degrees of flexion. The DIP option is available in 11 millimeter and 13 millimeter neutral only. The smart toe implant is made of shape memory metal nitinol that is body temperature activated.
