Homemade elastic gasket made of silicone sealant by hand. Can come in handy in self-making for the creation of valves.

MATERIALS:
1. Flat items – 2 pcs. I used 2 glasses from the shelves (1st way). You can take the glass circles from the wall clock. Also, any objects with a flat surface will do. In the second method, a plastic card was used, as a base, and a cap from the aerosol.
2. Sheets of paper – 2 pcs. I took conventional A4 sheets. You can experiment with another paper.
3. Spacers – 4 pcs. Some use the same coins. I cut 4 pieces from a plastic card, because I needed membranes thinner.
4. Silicone sealant.
5. Capacity with warm (or hot) water.
PROCESS of manufacturing:
1. Put the glass on the table, and on it a sheet of paper.
2. Press out the sealant in the required quantity and shape. It is better to squeeze in a handful of knots, so as not to get air.
3. Place 4 spacers along the edges of the paper and gently place the second sheet of paper on top, then crush it with the 2nd glass.
4. Slightly stir the glass, so that the sealant is leveled and left for 3-4 hours. In my case, that was enough. Depending on the sealant and the thickness of the gasket, it may be necessary to leave for a longer time 12-24 hours.
5. Soak for 1 hour in hot water. The hotter the water, the deeper the paper will get.
6. Remove paper from the membrane surface. Done! 
P.S. In the second case, I did not use any spacers and the gasket was 0.5 mm thick. Excellent quality, almost perfect shape. Then you can cut to the desired size.
