  • Robotic dispensing cell. Fanuc M16i robot with RJ-3 control is utilized to dispense glue onto windows, and set into injection-molded frames.

    Glass is brought into the cell on an Industrial Robotix EXAXIS SP1000 servo turn table positioner.

    A custom 4-zone venturi vacuum gripper is used to pick glass out of random positions on the pallets. The vacuum gripper works in conjunction with the robot search routine to automatically calculate the required angular offsets to make all 4 pads contact the glass. This is necessary because the glass is randomly placed on the pallets at the manufacturer.

    Once picked it is placed into a regrip fixture, then placed under an ITW hot melt nozzle. A Keyence UV sensor verifies glue is being dispensed 100%. Once glue routine is finished, the glass is placed into the injection molded frames that are located in the X and Y positions with pneumatic thrusters.
