If you have a lifted truck, or just struggle getting in and out, this Amp Research PowerStep could be the perfect solution. Whenever you open the door, the steps on that side automatically extend out, giving you an easier way to climb up or down.
With the doors closed, the steps stay tucked in under the rocker panel, so they’re not getting in the way as you drive on trails or roads.
Full-length internal ribs keep these steps from flexing too much as you climb on and off them. A pinch-safety technology ensures that if your foot or another object gets caught between the step and rocker panel, the motor stops running to prevent injury or damage.
These PowerSteps are compatible with 2015 to 2016 Ford F-150s with a SuperCab or SuperCrew.
You don’t need to worry about these PowerSteps getting damaged easily, because Amp Research makes most of the components out of a heavy-duty aluminum alloy that’s anondized, which also keeps them from being overly heavy without sacrificing durability. The pivot pins are made of stainless steel. Weatherproofing for the motor and wiring seals out the elements, avoiding problems with operation. A 5-year or 60,000-mile warranty is included, so you can install these confidently.
Even though the installation should take you about 2 hours to complete, this job is easy to do. Detailed instructions from Amp Research are included, which walk you through the entire process. You’ll need a socket set, some Allen wrenches and silicone sealant.
